Daddy's Girl

If you read my earlier post about Kascie and Phillip then you know what a special couple they are. I've gotten behind on my posts and did not get these up as quickly as I would have liked. I enjoyed a week of vacation with my family, including my dad, in Destin Florida. It was a wonderful time especially with my dad. I found out a few days after Kascie and Phillip's wedding that my dad has prostate cancer. I was devastated but I know he's going to be ok. I chose to post some of my favorite Daddy's Girl pictures of Kascie and her dad because she, like me, is very close to her dad!!

Twenty Ten

It's that time again, one of my favorite sessions....SENIORS!! I love taking senior pictures because it gives my clients an opportunity to show their true personality. I get a lot of requests for unique and different pictures. This is one time when peer pressure does not encourage everyone to be the same. These kids, or young adults should I say, are ready to be an individual. And why not!! They are getting ready to enter into one of the most exciting times in their lives.

Marah was my first senior to book her session. She called me nervously that day because it looked as if we were going to get rained out. That seems to be the case when you count on the great outdoors for your studio!! But luckily for us the rain came and went and left us with some beautiful scenery. Marah's personality just bubbles!! She smiles and her whole face lights up. She's a cheerleader for Brantley County High School and is excited about her upcoming year.

Call today and book your session. Stay tuned for Lexi's proofs!!

Kascie and Phillip - To Have and To Hold

Sometimes God's Hand is so obvious in situations that there is no denying His presence and ultimately His purpose. This is exactly what happened when I met Kascie and Phillip for the first time. They were in town working on the details for their wedding. I had assisted with a wedding the night before and left my tripod behind. I happened to be at the church the same time as them. We began talking and imagine my surprise when I learned they had not found a photographer. We exchanged phone numbers and emails and I honestly thought I would never hear from them. There are so many wonderful photographers in our area and I'm just getting started. Well....God has proven that He will provide because I am honored to be shooting their wedding tomorrow....July 18, 2009. (You can't see me but I'm doing cartwheels in my living room!!!)

The day of their engagement session was touch and go all day because of the weather. The skies were really black but Kascie trusted her instinct and came anyway! I'm so glad she did because we had an amazing day! We were trying to outrun the storms and often times it felt like scenes straight out of Twister!!

I've posted some of their photos below and promise to keep my blog updated by posting wedding pictures soon!! Congratulations Kascie and Phillip and thanks for allowing me to share your special day....Never forget what Dr. Adams told you...To Have and to Hold!!

Mr. & Mrs. Owens

David and Monica were married on Friday, March 6th at the Blacksmith Shop in Macon. If you've never been to Macon, now is the time to go. Spring is in full bloom and the night air is perfect. No sweaters or jackets were needed at this very romantic wedding. Monica was very traditional and went the entire day without seeing her future husband. David was glad when the wait was over and openly displayed his affection for his new wife. They are excited to begin their new life together and I'm especially thankful they allowed me to be their photographer. Congratulations David and Monica...enjoy your photos!!

O,O,O, Olivia

The first time I saw this beautiful little girl I knew I had to photograph her. Her dad was my son's football coach so I really got to know the family. Stetson and Denise Bennett own a pharmacy in Nahunta and Waynesville. They have 4 boys and one girl! Olivia is going to give the boys a run for their money! We went to their river house to take these photos. Most of them are featured in my galleries but these candid moments were especially fun. The one of her on the stairs just says trouble! She was climbing the stairs and just knew she was doing something!! I'm even thinking of using the top one as a new business card!! Denise is one lucky lady to have such beautiful children. They lead very busy lives but I hope to photograph the whole family one day....especially since I'm forever endebted to them!! Thanks again!!!

Monica & David...the Countdown Begins!

March 6, 2009...In November when we did their engagement session, this date seemed like an eternity away. And now it's practically a week away! Monica is going to be one elegant bride! They are getting married at the Blacksmith Shop in Macon, GA. I can't wait because I grew up in Macon and love an opportunity to "go home"! Especially photography!! The ceremony is going to be romantic with only a few friends and family. Then the reception begins! I can't wait because the location is beautiful. Combine the location with this fabulous couple and you have all the pieces to a fairytale wedding! I know you're going to love the photos so check back soon for the update!

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!

I've had the pleasure of taking photos of youth sports team for the local recreation department. The children are always so excited when I remember their name from past seasons. Sometimes when taking photos certain features about a child will stand out to me. This little girl just caught my eye and I decided to zoom in close on her and she is absolutely gorgeous!! Her mom stood next to me while I was taking her photo and kept telling her to smile. While her mom was filling out the order form I got her to look at me with an absolute perfect smile! Her mom was excited when I asked to add her picture to my portfolio! Hopefully she will let me photograph her in different settings. Thanks Hannah....you're a doll!!
